Mirwaiz Umar inaugurates ‘Downtown Cafe’ in old city

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, the chief cleric of Kashmir and Hurriyat Conference (m) chairperson on Saturday inaugurated “Downtown Cafe” in old city’s Gojwara area.

With a seating capacity of 90, the Cafe is owned by Nadeem Bhat, a resident of Pampore.

The Cafe has a staff strength of 3 chefs, 4 waiters and 2 house cleaners. The Cafe Nadeem said was built at a cost of over Rs 60 lacs.

Speaking during the inaugural ceremony, Mirwaiz prayed for the success of the business venture .

”This will promote toursim in Downtown,” he said on the occassion asking the owners to keep “rates reasonable” while maintaining quality.

”This will surely lead to image makeover of this area,” he added.
