‘Paswan after Listening to Geelani had Expressed Sympathy for Kashmiris’

Terming the Kashmir related statement of Union CAPD Minister as “traditional and unrealistic”, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (g) on Sunday said that this “integral part” theory of India has become “obsolete now and this theory couldn’t change the ground realities in Kashmir and nor will it do in future”.

Notably Ram Vilas Paswan had said that separatists can demand anything under the ambit of Indian constitution.

Hurriyat Conference (g) termed comments of Paswan about patriarch Syed Ali Geelani as “blatant lie”.

“In the said meeting which Paswan is mentioning, Geelani explained in detail the causes and reasons for the creation of Kashmir dispute and its historical perspective and Paswan couldn’t disagree any of his word moreover he also expressed his sympathy with the Kashmiri nation on the occasion and also shared the sufferings of the people of his tribe,” Hurriyat Conference (g) statement said.

“Kashmiri nation can understand the compulsions of Ram Vilas Paswan. As BJP is very kind to him and he has also got a ministerial berth. So in this perspective he has to show some respect to the fanatic thinking of his communal friends otherwise he himself knows that Kashmir is no legal part of India and terming it as integral part is contrary to the historical facts. Every Indian politician including him know that India is holding Kashmir just with the help of its military might and the Kashmiri people has never accepted this forced occupation here and they are actively resisting this military occupation from the very first day and they have sacrificed lakhs of human lives for this cause,” the statement said.

“Paswan had met Geelani sahab at Hyderpora few years back but there does not came up any issue of integral part or the ambit of Indian constitution. In an hour long meeting, Geelani sahab explained them the different aspects of the Kashmir dispute and informed them about the miseries and sufferings of the Kashmiri people at the hands of the Indian armed forces and Paswan and his other colleagues were only moving their heads in surprise and in affirmative,” the statement added.
