#Day23: In Karimabad Convention, Jama’at Appeals Intl Orgs To Take Cognizance Of Kashmir Happenings

Jama’at-e-Islami (JeI) Jammu and Kashmir central delegation comprised of its Ameer, Ghulam Muhammad Bhat, and Secretary General Ghulam Qadir Lone Sunday visited SMHS hospital where they inquired the health condition of those who got injured during the on-going protests in valley since July 8, especially pellet victims and expressed solidarity with them and prayed for their fast and speedy recovery.

“During the visit Ameer-e-Jama’at Gulam Muhammad Bhat expressed his displeasure over the brutality of Indian armed forces committed on innocent, peaceful and unarmed youths who basically are demanding their fundamental Right to Self Determination,” a statement issued by JeI said this afternoon.

“India is targeting our youths in a planned manner and damaging our youth eyes and other vital parts of body which should be a grave concern for all human rights bodies,” he said.

The statement said that he directed Jama’at-e-Islami District Srinagar’s management to provide every possible help to the injured and expressed his satisfaction over the relief work managed by Jama’at.

Pertinently, Jama’at-e-Islami District Srinagar from day one has of the current uprising started its relief work in different hospitals of Srinagar which include Bones & Joints Hospital Barzulla, SMHS, SKIMS Soura & JVC wherein the units concerned of Jama’at are at the service of their brethren in this tough time.

“During these hard hours, Jama’at-e-Islami District Srinagar provided rice, vegetables, spices, firewood and mineral water in a large quantity to the working camps for the service of injured,” the statement said, “also Jama’at-e-Islami District Srinagar provided medicinal help which costs lakhs of rupees to the needy and injured persons who were admitted in various hospitals.”

Ameer-e-Jama’at, Ghulam Muhammad Bhat, on the occasion, expressed gratitude on the role of all voluntary organizations of valley which were tirelessly at the service of their “oppressed and hapless nation”.

Meanwhile, another delegation of Jama’at led by its spokesperson Advocate Zahid Ali participated in a congregation which was organized by several religious and pro-freedom organizations at Karimabad Pulwama where Zahid Ali Advocate addressed the congregation and “paid glowing tributes to all martyrs and expressed sympathy with their families”, the statement said.

“He also impressed upon the youth to follow Islam in letter and spirit and remain steadfast on their stand so that the on-going movement will meet its logical end,” the statement quoted Adv Zahid Ali.

Zahid urged international bodies to take cognizance of “Indian atrocities and barbarism in Kashmir and build its pressure on India to complete its pledge of plebiscite with the people of Kashmir”.
