Responding to the call of united resistance leadership, people in various localities marched towards ‘martyrs’ graveyards on Sunday and offered prayers.
On July 28, Hurriyat in its protest calendar had asked people to march towards ‘martyrs’ graveyards on 31st July, Sunday, in their respective areas, to offer Fateh Khawani.
Local reports from South Kashmir’s Pulwama said that thousands of people from various localities marched towards Kareemabad.
“People in cars and by foot reached Kareemabad today where special prayers were offered for martyrs,” local reports said.
They added that thousands of people have gathered in Kareemabad who were addressed by several people.
Strong pro-freedom slogans were being raised when this report was filed.
