As soon as the news of Gulati’s death spread, Kashmiri journalists expressed their sorrow by writing on FB wall of Sumegha Gulati.

A friend of Sumegha, Trisha Mahajan, told Kashmir Life that Sumegha was suffering from some infection yesterday after which she was admitted in a Mumbai hospital.

“She lived with her father, mother and brother in New Delhi,” Mahajan said, “her brother was recently married.”

“Sumegha, your gentle and bright face will always inspire me to be affectionate and brave in the days to come. Our last conversation is as memorable as heart-wrenching and will always keep me going in the tough times. May God give you eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the great pain,” wrote Manzoor ul Hassan, a Srinagar based Journalist.

A picture available on FB account of Gulati reads:
