On Tuesday noon, hundreds of protesters from Old City attempted a peaceful march to Lal Chowk in protest to the Kashmir killings. But upon reaching Jehangir Chowk, the forces resorted to tear gas shelling to disperse the protesters and derailed the march. heavy deployment Paramilitary Soldiers and police in full riot gear have been deployed in old city (Downtown) of Srinagar on Tuesday after police heavy tear gas shelling on contain protesters following the killing of top militant commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani. The death toll reached 48 including three militants’ 44 civilians and one policeman and over 3500 persons were injured during clashes and put separatist leaders under house arrest.
