Israeli Tourists Rescued from Leh

The district administration in Leh rescued three foreign tourists who were stranded in upper reaches of the region due to lack of oxygen, officials said today.

The three tourists from Israel were stranded in Sku-Markha trekking route due to lack of oxygen, said an official.

He said that the district administration immediately dispatched a rescue team to the Markha valley to rescue the tourists.

The tourists were later safely brought to SNM Hospital Leh where they were administered first-aid. (CNS)
