Strongly condemning the “forcible discharge” of Farman Ali of Bari-Brahmana, Jammu who was badly injured in the attack by “goons” at Sarore from JMC hospital Jammu by the hospital management, independent legislator, Er Rasheed, Friday termed the act as “slap on the face of administration”.
In a statement issued here Rasheed said, “just two days after the incident, Farman Ali was forced to leave the hospital and doctors asked him that he is all well without caring for the fractured shoulder and arm.”
“According to locals, the Farman Ali could not withstand the pain and his condition turned critical and the elderly persons of the community sought help from Er Rasheed,” a statement issued by AIP claimed, “Er Rasheed today airlifted Farman Ali and his attendants to Srinagar and promised to bear all the charges required for his travel and treatment.”
On the advice of doctors Farman Ali was admitted in SMHS Srinagar for further treatment, the statement said.
Rasheed demanded stern action against the hospital management and alleged that they were forcing constantly the victims not to name the goons involved in the incident, refusing which Farman Ali was forced to leave the hospital.
The statement further said that Rasheed today visited fire hit victims of Uri and expressed his displeasure over the failure of the administration to provide any ex-gratia to the shop-keepers who have lost everything in the incident.
He sought immediate rehabilitation and financial package for the victims on war footing basis and demanded settling of their insurance claims without any delay and excuse, the statement added.
