Excitement band happiness showered on the faces of traders at Sangarmal here on Sunday as footfall increased manifold in this state-of-art shopping complex.

Directorate of School Education is organizing tw-day ‘Book Fair-cum-Literary Meet’ inside the complex spread over 15 kanals of land in heart of Srinagar.

Taking to Kashmir Life, Secretary General of Sangarmal Traders Welfare Association said, “today is a day of happiness for all of us as we have not seen such a rush of people here.” “SDA had promised that facilities like gymnasium, cafeteria, library-cum-reading room would be established here but they have failed so far.”

This Sunday witnessed an uneven rush of hundreds of students, parents and teachers who participated in Boom fair and other cultural activities.

“The last visit of former CM, late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed witnessed transfer of 8 kanals of land to Sangarmal which was lying with Estates department. We hope SDA takes steps to establish the facilities so that people are attracted to this multi-facility shopping complex.”
