Governor N N Vohra Sunday reviewed the disbursement of relief to the traders in Kashmir Valley, whose business establishments were adversely affected due to floods in September, 2014.
The Governor has been informed by the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir that an amount of Rs 6.54 crore had been disbursed during last three days, since 25th February, 2016, in various district of Kashmir Valley, an official spokesperson said this evening.
The Raj Bhawan spokesperson recalled that disbursement of relief to the traders had been resumed this week after Governor’s directions to Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, during his visit to Srinagar on 16th February, 2016. The Governor has directed that disbursement of relief to the affected traders by the Deputy Commissioners must be closely monitored by the Divisional Commissioner.
The Governor has also directed the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, to expedite the spade work for disbursement of relief for houses damaged in September floods out of Rs 1194 crore approved under Prime Minister’s Development Package-2015.
The Raj Bhawan spokesperson recalled that the State Administrative Council which met on 25th February, 2016 has approved the additional relief to the affected families @ Rs 2.50 lac for Fully Damaged Pucca House, Rs 1.00 lac for Fully Damaged Kacha House, Rs 1.25 lac for Severely Damaged Pucca House, Rs 0.50 lac for Severely Damaged Kacha House, Rs 0.20 lac for Partially Damaged Pucca House and Rs 0.10 lac for Partially Damaged Kucha House.
