A complete shutdown is being observed in Soura area of the Srinagar on Wednesday against the detention of a local youth.
Reports said soon after the news of the detention of local youth whose name was not known immediately, a spontaneous shutdown was observed in the area. All the shops and business establishments in the market were closed.
A protest demonstration was also held by the locals in the morning, locals had blocked the Soura road, and hampered the traffic movement for hours.
Meanwhile, a police officer told Kashmir Life over the phone that the said youth has been arrested on the charges of “stone pelting”.
