The traders said they use internet for business purposes while students use YouTube and other sites for studying purpose. In general, common people have been suffering immensely in South Kashmir in wake of internet suspension.

“Why to ban internet and put everyone in trouble when they can block those social media sites which they find problematic. It has become a norm in South Kashmir for authorities to add to the woes of common people,” said a group of students to news agency CNS who added that they are unable to prepare for various competitive exams scheduled this year.

They said with no Internet in their region, the government has put their careers at stake. They also threatened to launch a stir in case the Internet is not restored soon in south Kashmir.

They sought restoration of the service at an earliest. (CNS)
