Protests rock Kashmir University against Noorbagh civilian killing

Srinagar

The student of Kashmir University on Thursday held a protest against the killing of a civilian during a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Qamarwari area of Srinagar.

The students from various departments came out of their classes and assembled in the premises of Humanities department to protest the killing of Muhammad Saleem Malik in Noorbagh area of Qamarwari.

According to sources, the students from various departments assembled marched in University campus to protest the killing of Muhammad Saleem Malik in Noorbagh area of Qamarwari.

They shouted anti-governmental, anti-administration pro-Azadi and anti-India slogans, the protesting students carried banners reading, ‘Stop Genocide’, Free Kashmir’ ‘Stop killings’.

When last reports came protests was going on in the campus.
