In a new twist to Wamiq Farooq case, the second additional district judge has filed a complaint against Wamiq’s father and his council, saying that the duo has ‘threatened’ him.
As per sources, the 2nd ADJ has written in his complaint, “I have been threatened that council for the complainant shall go to the Chief Justice of India and I apprehend things against me from the complainant and his council.”
Talking to Kashmir Life, Farooq Ahmad, father of slain Wamiq Farooq said, “Yes we told him that we will plead before Chief Justice of India for justice only after the judge told us he doesn’t want to hear our drama bazi and he wanted to bail out the two culprits in the case.”
While burning all files related to the case, Farooq further quoted Judge saying, “See how our judiciary works here. A judge told me that he is not interested in such ‘useless’ cases. I am fighting for last five years now and due to the arrogant approach of this judge I feel like I am a looser now.”
Now the case has been listed on December 31 in the office of Principal and Sessions judge.
Pertinently, on November 20, 2015, Forest Magistrate Srinagar, B A Munshi passed an order for non-bailable warrants against the two guilty cops.
Wamiq Farooq was killed after a tear gas shell hit him near Gani Memorial Stadium in 2010 and two cops, Assistant Sub-Inspector Abdul Khaliq and SPO Muhammad Akram, were found guilty in the case.
