Now, CRPF Promotes Music, Kashmiri Culture Among Native Youth

CRPF Function

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) which assists Jammu and Kashmir Police in maintaining “law and Order” in state has collaborated with Srinagar Municipal Corporation to “promote cleanliness among masses”.

“54 BN CRPF today conducted ‘Clean Srinagar Drive’ as a part of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ in collaboration with Srinagar Municipal Corporation in the areas of Chashm-e-Shahi & Parimahal,” a CRPF statement said Thursday evening.

Other Officers who graced the occasion included- Shri Brijesh Singh, Commandant-79 BN CRPF, Harpal Singh, Commandant-61 Bn CRPF, Rajesh Yadav, Commandant-75 BN CRPF, Ashish Kumar Jha commandant- 161 BN CRPF and Mohd MA Malik, Ward Officer of SMC. Syed Abdul Qasim, Joint Commissioner- SMC praised the noble initiative of CRPF. Voicing his opinion on the campaign he said- “We feel lucky after associating SMC with CRPF for this noble cause.”

“A large number of local citizens also witnessed the event. Besides, 79 BN CRPF presented Musical Instruments to ‘Kashmir Valley Music & Dance Group (Music Therapy)’ with the sole aim to promote spirit of Music and Culture among youths of Kashmir. The event received high degree of appreciation from artists and other locals of the area,” the statement said.

More so, 144 BN CRPF handed over two newly constructed Sanitation facilities/Toilets to Government Middle School, Dugrazen, Srinagar under Civic Action Program.

The drive was organized under overall supervision of A K Bhardwaj, Commandant 54 BN CRPF and was inaugurated by K K Sharma, DIG CRPF, Srinagar (South) in presence of Syed Adbul Qasim, Joint Commissioner, SMC at Chashm-e- Shahi.
