Gen Pervez Musharraf
Former Pakistan President and Army chief, Pervez Musharraf has once again spilled the beans, saying that Pak establishment supported militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) to back “the freedom struggle in Kashmir during 1990s”.
The erstwhile military general’s latest remarks came during an interview to Dunya News.
“We supported them (LeT) and trained them as they were fighting in Kashmir at the cost of their lives,” Musharraf said, adding that 12 other organisations were formed in 1990. “At that time, Kashmiri freedom fighters including Hafiz Saeed and Lakhvi were our heroes.”
