KU Black DayBanned Kashmir University Students Union (KUSU) Tuesday started “black day” campaign from the University of Kashmir main campus.

Report said that the students distributed pamphlets amongst the faculty, students and scholars of the varsity.

“The pamphlets explain the historic backdrop of 27th October in Kashmir history,” a student said. KUSU had hung banners in varsity as well.

The students union of University of Kashmir stands banned for over seven years now.

Kashmir observed a complete shutdown on Tuesday against the landing of Indian troops here in 1947. Hurriyat led by octogenarian Syed Ali Geelani termed today’s strike as “referendum against Indian in Kashmir”.

The students, however, said, “the proctor staff swung in to action and brought down all the posters.”
