A day after the residents of old Post Office Lane of Lal Bazar area urged administration to take immediate steps for dewatering their houses, the house of one resident got crumbled Wednesday due to resurgent rains.
The house is said to belong one late Ghulam Qadir Khan in the area.
“It is not only the rains,” the locals.
“But the total failure of drainage/sewage system which has caused such immense inconvenience to the residential area.”
Despite the complaint, the locals continued, “and our appeal for dewatering carried by media didn’t evoke any response from authorities.”
