Govt doesn’t operate on media diktats: Sajad Lone

Peoples’ Conference Chairman and Cabinet Minister Sajad Gani Lone Saturday hailed the new recruitment policy, hoping same would play role in addressing the serious problem of unemployment.

Talking to KNS correspondent on the sidelines of the function organized here, Sajad said the new policy of recruitment can deliver results on ground and that he is optimistic it would end the issues related to the unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir.  “It is a good policy. I hope it will deliver on ground,” Sajad said.

Asked over reports that the state government is surrendering before the New Delhi based news channels and acts as per their diktats, he said, “The government acts in accordance to the law of the land. “Government doesn’t succumb to the media pressure and acts as per the law of the land. It is law which operates and not the diktats of any person.”

Earlier, the Minister stressed upon sheep rearers and dairy unit holders to come forward for increase in Mutton and Milk productions in Valley. He said that due to promotion of Milk and Mutton production the employment venture would be created for unemployed educated youth in Valley.

While addressing in a function organized by Chowdhary Group of HAT TRIC Milk and Dairy products in collaboration of with FORMECA here at SKICC, he said, “A large number of youth could rear the sheep and dairy units and could benefit from schemes of Sheep and Animal Husbandry departments.”

The Minister appreciated the role of HAT TRIC Milk Dairy products and his associates who have played a significant role in preparing the milk and dairy products in the Valley.

On the occasion, Managing Director Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation, Farooq Ahmad Shah, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Tufail Mattoo, Tour and Travel Operators, Hoteliers, Traders, media persons, which also include Nayeema Ahmad Mehjoor were present.

The PC chairman said he is striving to make one more district in Kashmir valley capable of adequate milk production so that its scarcity could end here at an earliest. “We are mulling to have a vision document over this issue so that valley could become self sufficient in milk production,” Sajad added.
