Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) president and MLA Khansahib Hakim Mohammad Yasin Wednesday asked Jammu and Kashmir government to come clear on the statement of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh wherein he said that Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed has promised to earmark 50 acres of land (400 kanals) as a first instalment for rehabilitation of displaced Kashmiri Pandits.

“Recently Mufti sahib on the floor of Assembly categorically stated that there is no question of providing land for separate colonies for Kashmir Pandits,” Yasin said. “He (Mufti) also said that no land has been identified. We welcomed the statement. Nor Rajnath Singh says Mufti has promised to provide land.”

“I want to ask whether Rajnath Singh is right or Mufti sahib. I urge Hon’ble Chief Minister to come clear on the issue so that the confusion which has been created in the minds of people of J&K is cleared,” he added.
