Police said that there was no aerial firing in Shopian. Police called the incident as “minor”. A Police official said, “Few stones were pelted on some security vehicles at Meemander, Shopian and there was no aerial firing,” adding “The situation is under control.” When asked about the strike, a police official said, “The town observed strike but only for few hours in the morning.”
