JKLF chief Yasin Malik detained as Modi visits Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar

Police on Sunday detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yasin Malik in Srinagar just hours before Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a spokesman, a large posse of police arrived at Malik’s Maisuma residence and detained him. He has been lodged at Kothibagh police station.

Earlier, Joint  Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and Yasin Malik had appealed people to observe complete shutdown against the Modi’s visit to the Jammu and Kashmir.
