Police on Wednesday disallowed the media fraternity to cover the press conference scheduled at Nigeen residence in Srinagar by Hurriyat (m) chairman Mirwaiz Mohammad Umar Farooq.

An eyewitness said that scores of reporters, video journalist and cameramen were barred to get inside the Nigeen residence of Mirwaiz to cover the press conference scheduled at 2:00 pm today.

The presser was scheduled following the Federal Investigation Agency NIA, raided the residence of Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman at Nigeen.

On Tuesday morning, sleuths of the NIA arrived at his residence in Nigeen and conducted the searches. Earlier, the team also raided the residence of JKLF Chief Muhammad Yasin Malik in Maisuma in Srinagar.
