IAF Jet Crash: Air service suspended in J&K

Srinagar

Hours after the IAF jet was crashed in Budgam district that claimed the life of 2 pilots, the airport authorities on Wednesday have cancelled all the commercial flights operating from Srinagar, Jammu Leh, and Pathankot airport.

Reports said that all the commercial flights have been cancelled, while some of them are on hold for security reasons.

“Airports in Leh, Jammu, Srinagar and Pathankot in high alert. Airspace suspended due to security reason. Many commercial flights on hold,” news agency ANI reported.

Earlier in the morning, two IAF jets were killed after an Indian Jet crashed in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Meanwhile, the cross-border skirmishes continued till early morning however, there were no causalities reported from either side in the shelling. The tension between the two countries escalated further after the February 14, attack in Pulwama that claimed the life of 49 paramilitary men.
