Youth took to streets in Nowhatta area in down town Srinagar post Friday prayers.
Reports said that just after the conclusion of Friday prayers at Jamia Masjid, Hurriyat Conference (M) chairperson Mirwaiz Umar Farooq led a protest demonstration against Tral killing, AFSPA and PSA.
“The protest turned violent as youth and paramilitary forces started ding dong battles,” an eye witness said.
The youth held anti India protests and raised pro-freedom slogans.
