Flood Threat: Organize Special Prayers, Mirwaiz Appeals People

Expressing concern and worry over the continuous rainfall in Kashmir, Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairperson, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has appealed people to seek forgiveness from Allah and organize special prayers in Masjids and Shrines so that “people can pass through these testing times”.

He appealed people to exhibit traditional bonhomie and take self-help initiatives by extending helping hand to the people who need help and aid, a statement issued by the amalgam said.

Meanwhile, Mirwaiz would lead special prayers at historic Jamia Masjid on the same day “beseeching Allah to extricate people from difficult times in the wake of looming threat of floods”.
