Imams of various mosques in Kashmir on Friday prayed for protection from the dreaded Swine flu and speedy recovery of the patients suffering from it.
Reports said that special prayers were also held at Jamia Masjid Srinagar headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
The Imams of the mosques appealed people to follow the “righteous path to avoid Almighty’s apathy”.
Pertinently, H1N1 has created terror among the masses though the experts are repeatedly appealing not to be panic.
H1N1, earlier know as swine flu, is a new influenza virus causing illness in people. First detected in Mexico in April, 2009, it has spread to many countries in the World.
Four people have lost their lives while as dozens are undergoing treatment in Jammu and Kashmir so far.
