SRINAGAR
An encounter between suspected militants and government forces has started in Shopian district on Tuesday afternoon.
Sources said that 55RR and SOG Imam Sahab Shopian cordoned off Heff village of the south Kashmir district during which hiding militants fired upon a search party.
Police sources said that army and SOG had input about the presence of militants in Heff.
Local sources told Kashmir Life that firing was going on between the suspected militants and forces.
