Ammunition Recovered In Budgam Village, Two Arrested: Police

SRINAGAR: A joint team of forces on Saturday has recovered ammunition from a residential house in Chewdara area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Police sources told news agency KDC that Budgam police along with 53 RR has recovered ammunition from the residential house of Mohammad Yousuf Dar son of Gh. Rasool Dar at Chewdara village in Budgam.

Sources said that “two hand grenades, four detonators, 25 live rounds and 10 posters were recovered during the search.”

“Dar and other accused Abdul Majid Mir Son of Assadullah of Chewdara are already under custody under FIR no 11/2021 U/S 7/25, 13, 18, 23, ULAP Act registered in police station Beerwah,” they said.

“Both accused were under custody in Police Station Beerwah since all but two days for their involvement in unlawful activities,” sources added.
