A gunfight between the government forces and militants has started in Pinjoora village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.
Reports said that a joint team of forces including army, police and paramilitary men launched a cordon and search operation in the area following specific inputs about the presence of some militants in the village.
As the forces approached to the spot hiding militants started firing, triggering an encounter.
The firing was going on when this report was filled.
