Army Major dies of cardiac arrest

An army officer died due to cardiac arrest in Machil sector along Line of Control (LoC) of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.

A police official said that the army officer of Major rank namely Rahul Singh (32), suffered cardiac arrest at 57 RR headquarter where he was posted.

He was immediately shifted to a nearby health facility of the army where from he was later referred 92 base hospital Badamibagh, Srinagar for specialized treatment. However, later the officer died, he said. (GNS)
