Tarigami seeks airlifting of passengers stranded on Kashmir highway

Expressing serious concern over the plight of stranded passengers due to the continuous closure of national highway CPI(M) leader Mohamad Yousuf Tarigami has demanded the airlift of these passengers to their respective destinations.

The spokesman said that hundreds of passengers are stranded at Jammu due to the closure of the Srinagar-Jammu highway continuously from last several days. These passengers are stranded at Jammu bus stand without food and shelter.

Tarigami urged the Governor administration to provide free ration and accommodation to the stranded passengers. He urged the administration to expedite work on the road, especially from Banihal to Ramban stretch which often remains closed due to landslides and shooting stones.

Tarigami also demanded airlifting of these passengers to their respective destinations.
