Srinagar
A gunfight broke out between militants and goverment forces in Khanmoh area of Pampore in outskirts of Srinagar district early morning on Saturday.
Reports said that a joint team of forces launched cordon and search operation in Khanmoh after having credible input about presence of some militants .
As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon goverment forces triggering off an encounter.
A senior Police official also confirmed about the gunfight and said it will take a while to end the operation.(GNS)
