An unidentified militant was killed early Thursday in a gunfight with government forces in Parra Mohallah of Hajin town in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, police said.
One militant has been killed in the gunfight so far, a police official said.
The gunfight in Parra Mohallah of Hajin town, in north Kashmir’s Bandipora, broke out early morning after militants fired upon forces soon after the cordon and search operation was launched in the area following specific information about the presence of militants.
The operation is underway, the official said.
