Commissioner rank officer tampering DoB, arrested

Jammu and Kashmir Crime Branch has conducted a raid on the official residence of MD Khan, on late Friday night, seized some documents and arrested the officer for fudging his date of birth records.

Mehraj Din Khan, administrative secretary of ARI & Trainings department, was today arrested by the Crime Branch of J&K Police for tampering his service record by changing his date of birth from November 1958 to November 1961, an official said.

He said the service record and date of the birth certificate of khan are being scrutinized.

Khan was earlier administrative secretary of consumer affairs and public distribution department and Agriculture Production department.
