Police have released the father of Hizb Commander Riyaz Naikoo from the custody. Asadullah Naikoo, 70, was ‘arrested’ by the government forces in a nocturnal raid from his Beighpora Awantipora residence in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An official said that Asadullah Naikoo, father of Riyaz Naikoo, has been released.
“We have released him after some questioning,” said an official.
Several persons were detained by the police during nocturnal raids in several villages in several villages in Awantipora area on Wednesday.
