ANC, civil society engage Meenakshi Arora to defend Article 35A in SC

Renowned Supreme Court lawyer Meenakshi Arora will represent the intervention plea filed by J&K Awami National Conference (ANC) and JK civil society coordination in the petition challenging Article 35-A in the Supreme Court.

“Note Supreme Court Lawyer Meenakshi Arora will appear for J&K Awami National Conference (ANC) and JK civil society coordination members Nasir- ul-Islam, Jagmohan Singh Raina and advocate Javaid Mir,” ANC senior vice president Muzzafar Shah said in a statement.

As per the statement, advocate Meenakshi Arora will also appear on behalf of civil society Jammu (JK united Peace movement). She will be assisted by six lawyers, three from Srinagar and three from Jammu.
