Hurriyat (M) pays tributes to slain militants, condemns vandalisation

SRINAGAR

Hurriyat (M) Conference on Wednesday while paying rich tributes to two militants Altaf Ahmed Dar and Umar Rashid Wani killed in an encounter with the government forces in Islamabad said that Kashmiri youth are offering priceless sacrifices to free their homeland from the people of Kashmir will continue to safeguard these sacrifices.

The spokesman in a statement said it was because of the ultimate “repression” which is becoming the major reason for the educated lot to opt arms as a means of resistance. It said that on the ground, people of Kashmir are being forced into a submission.

The Hurriyat said that the Delhi’s approach towards Kashmir and keeping the issue lingering is resulting in violation almost every day, adding, it is high time for the Government to shun its “hegemony” and to start a meaningful dialogue for the resolution of vexed Kashmir issue as per the aspirations of people so that peace prevails not only in the sub-continent but in entire South Asia.

The Hurriyat also condemned the vandalizing the property of militants in various parts of south Kashmir stating that these acts are totally unjustified and reflect the frustration on part of the forces. The Hurriyat said that damaging the property and thrashing the inmates deserves all forms of condemnation.
