Div Com Discusses Wakf Property Related Issues
Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan chaired a meeting to discuss issues confronting J&K Board for Muslim Specified Wakf and Specified Wakf Properties here on Wednesday.
The Divisional Commissioner issued directions to the concerned Deputy Commissioners/HoDs for taking immediate necessary measures for protection of Wakf properties.
The meeting was also attended by the other officers of the Board.
91 Girls Given Assistance under SMAS in Bandipora
To review the progress made under State Marriage Assistance Scheme (SMAS) for poor and unmarried girls, a District Level Committee (DLC) meeting was held under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Bandipora today.
The Committee, on the occasion, sanctioned marriage assistance of Rs. 25 thousand and 5 gram gold each in favour of 91 poor unmarried girls for their marriage.
The meeting was attended by the officers of social welfare, revenue and health departments.
DC Bandipora Reviews Developmental Scenario, Eid-ul-Zuha Arrangements
To review the achievements registered under various sectors during this fiscal in respect of District plan, an officers meeting was held today with District Development Commissioner Bandipora in chair.
During the meeting, the progress made by various departments and executing agencies under district plan, state plan and centrally sponsored schemes were discussed threadbare.
The DDC directed the executing agencies for resuming the work on the on-going projects and accelerating the pace of works ensuring their timely completion.
He said that the projects taken up for the benefit and welfare of general masses should be completed in a time bound manner so that the benefit of these projects percolate to the ground level.
Chief Planning officer Bandipora and other district and sectoral officers attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora also convened a meeting of officers to review the arrangements for ensuing Eid-ul-Azha.
The DDC impressed upon the officers to ensure smooth supply of essential items including rice, sugar, LPG, K-oil, water and power supply before Eid. He also directed for special drive of market checking and sanitation in the district.
DDC Ganderbal Reviews Progress of Rural Development Works
District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Tariq Hussain Ganai today chaired a meeting of officers of Rural Development Department to review the pace of progress of works being executed by the Rural Development Department in the District.
Assistant Commissioner Development gave brief account of achievements achieved during the current financial year till date under MGNREGA.
He informed that that the works, under MGNREGA, are being carried out as per the desire of people in the District. He informed that funds have not been released under IAY so far.
The District Development Commissioner Ganderbal has laid stress on achieving the targets fixed for current fiscal in each sector for the Department.
DDC Baramulla Orders Removal of Poplar Trees
A meeting of officers of various departments was held at here today with District Development commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash in chair.
Discussing issues related to the harmful effects of poplar trees on the Highway, the District Development commissioner directed the concerned officers to take effective steps and cut popular trees from both sides of the road so that human life and property is saved from any damage besides the HT (33KV) power line aside the road is also freed to provide better power supply to the people.
He directed the concerned SDM’s and Tehsildars to have close vigil on encroachment of state land in their respective areas and initiate strict action against the violators.
He said that the encroachments on state land will not be tolerated in the district.
The meeting was attended by Superintending Engineer PDD, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, SDM Uri, SDM Pattan and other officers from line departments.
