Following nocturnal raids, clashes erupted in parts of South Kashmir’s Islamabad district on Wednesday morning.
Correspondent reports said that forces raided SK Colony and Anchidora areas in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.
“The forces came thrashing and damaging private property,” locals said, “they were looking for some youths who were not present in their homes.”
The reports said that people from whole area came out on roads holding anti-India and pro-freedom protests.
“Two persons whose sons forces were looking for were arrested,” reports said.
Early today, youths came out on roads holding massive demonstrations and condemning the forces action.
“Soon, forces appeared on the scene and clashes erupted,” report informed. They said that forces lobbed tear gas canisters to disperse off the demonstrations.
Meanwhile, youths have come out on roads in Janglat Mandi area of the district and are holding protests.
