In a tragic mishap in North Kashmir’s Sopore on Thursday two minors drowned into Jhelum River this afternoon.
According to a Varmul Post report, the drowned minors have been identified as Falak (8), daughter of Abdul Majeed Shiekh of Shahabad slipped into the Jhelum.
His brother, Rashid (12) jumped into the river to save her sister who to drowned.
The incident happened around 1 PM today.
The bodies of the brother-sister duo were recovered near Jamia Masjid Sopore by locals.
