Appealing deputy speaker to make government answerable and committed to implement decisions
on ground, Communist lawmaker, M Y Tarigami, Monday said that “not even a single decision taken in District Development Board (DDB) meeting in 2015 was implemented”.
Regretting that government didn’t issue a statement as why many works were not taken up, Tarigami said, “late former CM Mufti Sayeed chaired DDB meeting where all senior ministers, commissioners and officers were present. But not even a single decision taken in that meeting was implemented on ground.”
Tarigami supported demand of right wing BJP lawmakers who told the house that many PHE many works were not taken up for execution which were decided in their respective DDB meetings. “Please make government issue a statement and ask them to get the work done in a time frame manner,” Tarigami appealed deputy speaker, Nazir Ahmad Gurezi.
Similar concerns were raised by Pahalgam lawmaker, Altaf Kaloo, who said, “it seems that DDB meetings are held to get money from state exchequer.” “Late Mufti sahab himself chaired the our DDB meeting but no decision was implemented on ground.”
One of the BJP lawmakers said that many PHE officials were without salary for last 30-35 months which was “very unfortunate”.
Zero Hour of the lower house is in progress. J&K Government has to present its 2016-17 budget today.
