KL Report

SRINAGAR

With the BJP appearing keen to lead the next government in Jammu and Kashmir, and “win the state democratically” the party has begun hectic parleys with the National Conference to form the government.

Reports said that former chief minister Omar Abdullah met BJP president Amit Shah, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and party general secretary Ram Madhav in Delhi Thursday morning after he cancelled his London visit.

Reports reaching Srinagar said that Omar also met Ram Madhav, General Secretary of BJP. Ram Madhav is the leader who is coordinating the discussions about the government formation in Jammu and Kashmnir.

In the 87-member House, PDP bagged 28 seats, BJP got 25 seats, National Conference 15, Congress 12 and Others 7.

If the BJP gets NC’s support and of the Independents including People’s Conference, then it can reach the magic figure of 44.
