The author of ‘Dahshat Zaadi’ and broadcaster, Nayeema Ahmad Mehjoor, joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP on Friday.
This was announcement by PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed at his Gupkar residence in presence of Nayeema.
Nayeem has worked with a number of prominent news organizations like BBC radio.
Mufti while welcoming Nayeema said, “We need more right-thinking people to join politics. This is a good beginning.”
People with political background have been joining unionist parties ahead of elections but Nayeema is probably the first professional journalist who joined the camp.
