Protesters torched a car in Budgam

The people protesting against the frequent power cuts in Budgam, torched a car when it hit and injured a pedestrian, Police said on Wednesday.


A Santro car bearing registration number JK03C/8011 hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Mohammad Mala resident of Sebdan at Sebdan, in Budgam.


Some persons were protesting against PDD for transformer damage nearby. The protesters attacked the car and set it ablaze. The car was damaged in the incident.


“Some miscreants torched the car when it hit a pedestrian and Police have registered a case and launched a manhunt for the miscreants,” Police said.
