SRINAGAR: Unknown gunmen on Thursday evening fired upon Advocate Babar Qadri in hawal Downtown area of Srinagar city.

An official told news gathering agency KDC that unknown gunman fired upon Qadri near Hawal injuring him critically.
He was immediately rushed to hospital but he succumbed on way to the hospital.
another local news gatherer GNS said he was shot at from a very close range at Hawal and was instantly dead. He was later driven to SKIMS where he was declared brought dead.
A lawyer by profession, Qadri was a debator and a writer. On twitter, he had expressed his apprehension, only two days back.
