SRINAGAR: Jammu region continues to report more Covid-19 positive cases than Kashmir. On Monday, when officials said 824 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus were detected 540 were from Jammu and 284 from Kashmir.
With the fresh detections, the overall count of Covid-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir 73014. In the last 24 hours, 1408 patients were declared to have recovered and were discharged from hospitals – 831 from Jammu and 577 from Kashmir.
According to the daily Media Bulletin out of 73014 positive cases, 17601 are Active Positive, 54267 have recovered and 1146 have died; 320 in Jammu division and 826 in Kashmir division.
Offering district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 14490 positive cases (including 105 cases reported today) with 2105 Active Positive, 12098 recovered (including 175 cases recovered today), 287 deaths; Baramulla has 4273 positive cases (including 26 cases reported today) with 1235 Active Positive, 2916 recovered (including 30 cases recovered today), 122 deaths; Pulwama reported 3885 positive cases (including 33 cases reported today) with 451 active positive cases, 3366 recovered (including 42 cases recovered today), 68 deaths; Kulgam has 2253 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 130 Active Positive, 2080 recoveries (including 08 cases recovered today), 43 deaths; Shopian has 2021 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 198 Active Positive, 1791 recovered (including 02 cases reported today), 32 deaths; Anantnag district has 3492 positive cases (including 18 cases reported today) with 441 Active Positive, 2989 recovered (including 28 cases recovered today), 62 deaths; Budgam has 4791 positive cases (including 27 cases reported today) with 1045 Active Positive and 3665 recovered (including 98 cases recovered today), 81 deaths; Kupwara has 3539 positive cases (including 44 cases reported today) with 813 Active Positive, 2660 recovered (including 27 cases recovered today), 66 deaths; Bandipora has 3363 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 563 Active Positive, 2763 recovered (including 118 cases recovered today), 37 deaths and Ganderbal has 2844 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 459 active positive cases, 2357 recoveries (including 49 cases recovered today) and 28 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 12349 positive cases (including 337 cases reported today) with 3578 active positive cases, 8597 recoveries (including 530 cases recovered today), 174 deaths; Rajouri has 2565 positive cases (including 52 cases reported today) with 1268 active positive cases, 1267 recovered (including 40 cases recovered today), 30 deaths; Ramban has 1295 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 456 active positive, 830 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today), 09 deaths; Kathua has 2022 positive cases (including 37 cases reported today) with 538 Active positive, 1463 recovered (including 76 cases recovered today), 21 deaths; Udhampur has 2163 positive cases (including 38 cases reported today) with 484 active positive cases, 1664 recovered (including 07 cases recovered today), 15 deaths; Samba has 1694 positive cases (including 29 cases reported today) with 805 Active Positive, 869 recoveries, 20 deaths; Doda has 2159 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 1119 active positive cases, 1013 recoveries (including 79 cases recovered today), 27 deaths; Poonch has 1726 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 974 active positive, 740 recoveries (including 48 cases reported today), 12 deaths; Reasi has 930 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 379 active positive, 546 recoveries (including 14 cases reported today), and 05 deaths while Kishtwar has 1160 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 560 active positive cases and 593 recoveries (including 34 cases reported today) and 07 deaths.
According to the bulletin, of the total 73014 positive cases in J&K 8697 have been reported as travellers while 64317 as others.
