Administration Announces Back to Village-3, Starting October 2

SRINAGAR: The Manoj Sinha administration has decided to start the next edition of Back to Village (B2V) from October 2, Jammu and Kashmir government spokesman Rohit Kansal said.

Cover image the village talk back to villageKansal told media that like earlier editions of the programme, a gazetted officer will visit a Panchayat and stay overnight. This edition, he said, will be more about doing things rather than listening grievances.

He said the programme was mentioned by the Prime Minister in his August 15 speech and the programme is being copied by other states in the country.

The B2V-3 will start on October 2 and conclude on October 12. Prior to its launch, the officers will be holding a three-week event in all these panchayats that will revolve around three things – listening and implementing; public service delivery and delivery of the development on the ground. This pre-B2V-3 plan will start on September 10 and conclude on September 30.

The programme involves more than 4000 officers to move out of their offices and meet people in the village.
