SRINAGAR: Department of Agriculture today flagged off a group of 70 progressive farmers of Kulgam and Anantnag districts on inter-state training cum exposure tour to Punjab Agriculture University (PAU) and National Diary Research Institute (NDRI) Karnal .
The spokesman said that tour is conducted by Farmers Training and Education Centre (FTEC) Ganderbal, Department of Agriculture under National Mission for Agriculture Extension Technology (NMAET).
The aim of the tour is to acquaint growers with practical demonstration on advanced techniques in Agriculture, cultivation of different crops with respect to the best management of cultural practices, pre and post-harvest management techniques and marketing.
Deputy Director FTEC, Farooq Ahmad Shah urged upon the participating farmers to take full advantage of the tour by interacting with the experts and their counter parts from other states to get the latest knowledge and knowhow about the innovative techniques in the field of Agriculture.
Group of Kulgam Progressive farmers were flagged-off by the DDC Kulgam Showkat Aijaz Bhat.
