Transport Department, J&K today accorded a warm farewell to superannuating Transport Commissioner Dr S P Vaid at a function at Transport Commissioner Office, Jammu.

Additional Secretary Road Safety Council, Ramesh Kumar Bhatt recalled the services of Dr Vaid, who attained superannuation on October 31, 2019, and his contribution to the department. They also highlighted various projects and works which were carried out and accomplished by Dr S P Vaid during his tenure for the welfare and providing better services to the general public. The officials wished him good health and happy post-retirement life. Speaking on the occasion Dr Vaid also thanked the Motor Vehicles Department for their support and conveyed good wishes to the Officers/Officials of the Department.
The function was also attended by Assistant Transport Commissioner, J&K, ARTO Board of Inspections, Regional Transport Officer, Jammu, Joint Transport Commissioner, Jammu, ARTO Jammu/Udhampur/Samba along with their staff.
